Papering the walls
For wallpaper I picked some nice decorated wrapping paper, that wasn't too thin. Thin paper easily soaks up the fluid in the paste you're gonna use, and it will crease badly!
For pasting the wallpaper on the plywood panels, you need a pot of wallpaper paste, and a paint brush.
Start with applying a stroke of glue, and than carefully glue the wallpaper on. Use a soft cloth to gently rub the paper flat against the panel, and be sure all air bubbles and creases are gone. Begin working from the center of the paper, moving out toward the edges.
Always be careful when you use a cloth. Whereas it might help you to smooth the wallpaper, it also might smudge the pattern if you're not careful!
Now continue stroke by stroke, until you're finished. (If you are using paper with stripes or squares, be sure it goes on straight!)
Use a sharp craft or exacto knife to trim the wallpaper overhang. It is best to leave a few mm to over wrap the edges between the walls, floor, and ceiling. Later this over wrap can be nailed down to ensure that the edges and corners of the paper won't come off.
