Bamboo roller blinds

Hereof you need a bamboo place-mat. The one I found had a dark brown fabric trim that was perfect to glue the tiny picture hooks on, that I used as brackets. I also bought about 2 yards / 2 meters of white cord for the pull cords.
Cut a piece from the place-mat in the required size (a bit longer than the window), and secure the stitches at the end with textile glue (it dries up clear).
Glue the picture hooks on both sides of the trim front, about an inch / 2cm from the edges. Then make a small strap on one end of the white cord (don't cut it yet), and glue it on the back of the trim, just behind the bracket. Secure it a little extra by glueing a felt strip on it. Attach a jump ring to the strap, this will later keep the pull cord in place.
Cut a piece from the other end of the cord to make a second strap, that is glued on the other side of the blind, behind the bracket. Secure this strap with a felt strip too, and attach a jump ring.

Now the cord goes from the first strap down the back of the blind and to the front, up to the strap again, where you feed it through the jump ring. Then guide it to and through the jump ring on the other side, down at the front and to the back of the blind, up to the strap and through the jump ring again, to the front of the blind.
Finally, cut the cord, and clip a small metal strip around the end to prevend fraying. You can have the blinds rolled up, or in full length. Roll it up by hand, and then carefully pull the cord the right size.
